He then approaches his house, which becomes possessed again, but became somewhat gentle to him. By this point, DJ learned that, all this time, the house was possessed by Constance's restless spirit. Then one day, the circus was visited by a young man named Horace Nebbercracker, who fell in love with Constance at first sight and saw how awful she was being mistreated. In that same show, Constance finally had enough and attempted to retaliate at her attackers, but was stopped due to her immense size immobilizing her.

Her eyes are windows of different shapes, the left one being square and the right is semi oval. The porch and door comprise her mouth with small wooden planks that emerge and act as her teeth to give her a powerful bite. Constance has two trees that act as her arms and she is able to control the lawn and walkway that leads toward her. She has a red elongated carpet for a tongue, a chandelier resembling a uvula, and a green throat which is an opened pit with sharp wooden blades circling around. Chowder engages the house in battle once more, while DJ and Jenny ascend a nearby crane, however, this time, Constance gets the upper hand and rips the excavator’s backhoe off with her larger mouth before eating the excavator.

Afterward, while DJ sneaks away, Bones (who had lost his kite when he was 10 years old) expresses his anger and sadness over his stolen kite on Nebbercracker's house by damaging the lawn. When Constance sees this, she proceeds to possess his kite within the basement (the stomach) and uses it to lure Bones into the house. The kids then resume the investigation where suddenly, the floor below them opened, sending them to the basement where Nebbercracker kept the confiscated toys from children. There, they also discovered what appeared to be Constance's carriage that DJ opened with a key that he found back when Mr. Nebbercracker was taken away by medics.

Amusing enough, while Chowder is in the basement of the house, his flashlight highlights a mechanical monkey similar to the one in King’s short story The Monkey. Horace was, at first, furious after he had discovered the truth, but calmly relents when DJ asks if he really killed her and he nods no and tells them both his and Constance's story. However, the police officers were not the sole target, as it had the trees to grab the police car and devouring it into its mouth inside along with the kids like eating a hamburger. The kids attempt to escape, but are trapped inside the house as they witness the house's interior revert back to normal.

Mr. Nebbercracker proceeds by lifting him upwards and unleashing several tantrums on his face. This is however a great mistake; due to his elderly age, he forgot that his body could no longer endure the boy's weight and he had a heart attack at the same time. His bones cracked in the process, causing him to fall unconscious on DJ's body.
As he did this, Constance's anger was softened as she was no longer bothered, and obviously underwent a deep sleep. Overtime, rumors around Horace and his wife rose up, with some speculations that Horace was a cannibal who fattened his wife before devouring her. The only one who was suspicious with Horace's grumpy and wrathful attitude was DJ Walters, a boy whose hobby was to spy on the old man. After her death, Horace finished building the house, believing she would have wanted that. He also built a shrine around her cement-covered grave and used the cage that is now unmounted from its wheels she once lived in to keep it safe from intruders.
