It is then that the cops show up; DJ, Chowder, and Jenny attempt to tell them about the nature of the house. However, they realize that the house knows better than to come alive when adults are present. Accompanying DJ to the house, Chowder disagrees with him about the house being haunted, and proceeds to go up to the house and ring the doorbell to show him there’s nothing to worry about. Doing so causes the house to awaken; its interior suddenly takes on a mouth/throat-like appearance, and the exterior also takes on a more threatening look. Chowder barely avoids being eaten and he and DJ retreat back to DJ’s house, where they spend the night keeping an eye on the house, though the house remains inactive. Not much is known about Constance's early life, aside from the fact that she once a circus freak star.

Because fat people’s bodies are bigger than what society deems acceptable, Monster House argues that we must not be able to use them properly. That assumption, and the film’s constant emphasis on Chowder being a “moron” (again, using the film’s own words), betray an insidious ableism at the core of the film. Not only are fat people assumed to be disabled because of their size, but that disability must also mean that they have to be rescued by the thin characters who know how to navigate the world better than the fat characters do. And for the most part they talk and behave like real kids, too, or at least like characters drawn from the rich tradition of plucky, intellectually curious kiddie-lit heroes. DJ is descended from Encyclopedia Brown (perhaps by way of Jimmy Neutron, but never mind), and Jenny bears some temperamental resemblance to Harriet the Spy. I’m sure Chowder will remind you of someone in your fifth-grade class, wherever or whenever that was.

Not much is known about Constance's backstory, aside from the fact that she is a depressed circus freak show member that always got made fun of by children due to her extreme obesity. Not only that, she was forced to sleep in a cage by the rest of the circus members. Judging from her photos that DJ and Jenny found in her house, it was shown that her obesity was due to her love of food.

When Zee's boyfriend Bones later pays a visit, he recalls the time Nebbercracker stole his kite, as well as relating rumors of him cannibalizing his wife. After Zee kicks him out, Bones notices his kite in the front door of Nebbercracker's house, tries to retrieve it and is abducted. And Chowder later investigate and learn that the house is possessed by a poltergeist. On Halloween, they save Jennifer "Jenny" Bennett, who is selling candy, from the house.

The neighborhood children had harassed Constance, and one Halloween, while chasing away some hateful kids, she fell to her death in the basement. As Mr. Nebbercracker finished building the house, he became aware Constance’s spirit possessed the house. He had feigned dislike of children to protect them from his wife’s increasingly vengeful spirit. The trio consults supernatural expert Reginald "Skull" Skulinski, who speculates the house must be a rare type of monster created by the fusion of a human's spirit and a man-made object that can only be unbound when its heart is struck.
Fate
Horace Nebbercracker, who falls in love with her, eventually rescues her from the circus, and then marries her. Though Constance is happy with her later life, her happiness proves short lived after she falls to her death. Despite Nebbercracker's intentions to protect their neighborhood, there is an underlying sadness and regret in his interactions with Constance. He remembers her as she once was, before her transformation, and likely mourns the loss of their former life. This mixture of love and sorrow is evident in how he interacts with her whenever he can temporarily calm her down. Nebbercracker, deeply concerned about the destructive and dangerous nature of Constance, takes it upon himself to protect their community by confining her within their house.
The horrified Chowder is then chased by the house's rug (the tongue) that acts like a chameleon's tongue, and barely escapes. Chowder looks behind, where the house became more deformed than it previously was before returning to normal. The Nebbercracker's House is a location from the 2006 animated horror film, Monster House.
Cause of Death
They, much like other people, do not appear to believe the boys at all, but are simply doing their job to make sure they don't get hurt. Aware that the old man cannot do that forever, DJ convinces Mr. Nebbercracker to put her out of her misery as this is the better way. Therefore, Constance has been suffered too long and in spite of his benevolent intentions to keep the children away from the house, it will not improve either of their lives.
DJ, the thin white hero, is pretty much the only character who escapes the film’s criticism. Officer Landers (Kevin James) immediately makes a joke about eating doughnuts instead of working. Against his friends' protests, DJ tries to talk some sense with Nebbercracker about the truth behind his wrathful and suspicious behavior.
While they are married and have a history together, their relationship goes through profound challenges. Her tongue resembles a red elongated carpet, a chandelier resembling a uvula, and a green throat which is an opened pit with sharp boards circling. Since the only way such a creation can be destroyed is to destroy its heart, the heart of the house, they decide it must be the furnace. They stuff a dummy with stolen cold medicine to make the monster house sleep, but police interfered, and the house ate them, police car, drug-laced dummy, and all.

She has a red elongated carpet for a tongue, a chandelier resembling a uvula, and a green throat which is an opened pit with sharp wooden blades circling around. Chowder engages the house in battle once more, while DJ and Jenny ascend a nearby crane, however, this time, Constance gets the upper hand and rips the excavator’s backhoe off with her larger mouth before eating the excavator.

Everything seems normal until Chowder pressed the bell, and the house awakened. The door (the mouth) suddenly opens, revealing its interior's fractures, and shifts into a mouth-like cavern.

That night, she possesses the telephone in her house (off-screen) and calls DJ through the telephone. Afterward, while DJ sneaks away, Bones (who had lost his kite when he was 10 years old) expresses his anger and sadness over his stolen kite on Nebbercracker's house by damaging the lawn. When Constance sees this, she proceeds to possess his kite within the basement (the stomach) and uses it to lure Bones into the house. The kids then resume the investigation where suddenly, the floor below them opened, sending them to the basement where Nebbercracker kept the confiscated toys from children. There, they also discovered what appeared to be Constance's carriage that DJ opened with a key that he found back when Mr. Nebbercracker was taken away by medics.
Amusing enough, while Chowder is in the basement of the house, his flashlight highlights a mechanical monkey similar to the one in King’s short story The Monkey. The film was also the first time Zemeckis and Spielberg had worked together since 1990’s Back to the Future Part III. Unfortunately, Screenplay Writer Harmon was not completely satisfied with the final edit of Monster House, because he felt Kenan and Spielberg made it scarier than initially intended. Too scary, too funny, or just right, that depends on the viewer, and perhaps their age. Nonetheless, a decade later, Monster House is still a spooky adventure worth watching again. Constance the monster house broke free of its foundation and chased the plotting group to a construction site where they blow it up.
In 1959 she happily married Horace Nebbercracker, but she tragically died one Halloween when she chased a child who taunted her and fell into the basement of their unfinished home. Once her husband finished construction of the house, however, her spirit possessed and brought it to life, attacking children who came too close. Mr. Nebbercracker is happy that both she and him are finally free from their torment and proceeds to return all the toys he had taken back to the children of the neighborhood. In the end, all the house's victims are revealed to be alive and well as they crawl out of the house's foundations.
Whether this was true or not (or merely speculated), her size disgusted many people, even children whom made fun of her in an extreme manner. The three then witness the house consuming a dog, making them realize the house waits for its prey to get close enough before devouring it. Calling the police, the youthful trio approach the house, thinking about the carnage waiting to happen that evening. The house tries to tempt Chowder with his basketball, but DJ and Jenny stop him from taking the bait.
Before they could drive away, the house groans on them, luring both the police officers closer. Oblivious with what has lured them, the two officers decided to investigate the house against the children's wishes. Officer Landers notices that something seems not right as the other one suddenly driven away with the tree's roots.

The two boys immediately rush out to warn her not to go near the house, though she doesn't take them seriously. I was right back in front of that photographer, being laughed at for daring to believe that I could be pretty. I was right back on that softball field, being laughed at for existing as a fat person in a place where only thin people are allowed. Now, in the comfort of my own home and my own beloved film genre, I was being laughed at yet again. Back on July 21, 2006, the Columbia Pictures stylized computer animated film Monster House hit the silver screen. Promoted by movie theater lobby posters warning, “There goes the neighborhood,” instead of darkening the cinematic world, Monster House added to a vivid cinematic experience.
Officer Lester taunts the tree, which suddenly, prompt it to move and grab his leg. Things suddenly became worse as the house reveals its true nature and devour Officer Landers alive while sadistically playing with Officer Lester that it grabbed through branches before eventually tossed him into its mouth. Later on, when DJ and Chowder sought to investigate the house, Chowder, whom doesn't believe strange things that occurred inside the house, starts to fool around on the house's lawn. Horace was, at first, furious after he had discovered the truth, but calmly relents when DJ asks if he really killed her and he nods no and tells them both his and Constance's story. However, the police officers were not the sole target, as it had the trees to grab the police car and devouring it into its mouth inside along with the kids like eating a hamburger. The kids attempt to escape, but are trapped inside the house as they witness the house's interior revert back to normal.

Mr. Nebbercracker proceeds by lifting him upwards and unleashing several tantrums on his face. This is however a great mistake; due to his elderly age, he forgot that his body could no longer endure the boy's weight and he had a heart attack at the same time. His bones cracked in the process, causing him to fall unconscious on DJ's body.
As he did this, Constance's anger was softened as she was no longer bothered, and obviously underwent a deep sleep. Overtime, rumors around Horace and his wife rose up, with some speculations that Horace was a cannibal who fattened his wife before devouring her. The only one who was suspicious with Horace's grumpy and wrathful attitude was DJ Walters, a boy whose hobby was to spy on the old man. After her death, Horace finished building the house, believing she would have wanted that. He also built a shrine around her cement-covered grave and used the cage that is now unmounted from its wheels she once lived in to keep it safe from intruders.

Commenced with sharing the Mediterranean Vegan sampler, followed by a vegan gyro sandwich (maintaining my Greek roots). Meanwhile, my wife opted for the fried “chicken” vegan sandwich.
